Where should I communicate my brand's Value Props?

 

Setting up your brand for optimal success can be a daunting task. From social media, to creative agencies (ahem), ads, and everything in between, important details can often be overlooked. One key factor to any brand is its value proposition, aka the mix of benefits a company promises to deliver. Our advice: define what this looks like for your brand, design a curated way to communicate this to existing and potential customers, and include it in the following locations:  

 

1. Website

You may be thinking, “well, duh.”--but let’s talk specifics! Of course we recommend placing your value props somewhere on the homepage of your site. However, one placement that often gets overlooked is on PDPs (product detail pages). The example below shows the infographic one of our clients, Brightech, currently has on both their homepage and PDPs.

2. Social Media

Although it won’t always make sense to create posts focused only on your brand’s value props, we believe it is beneficial to sprinkle the messaging throughout both imagery, captions, and sometimes even your profile’s bio. See the Instagram bio from our client, Heretic, that includes a few of their value props like “Vegan-friendly” and “Cruelty-free.”

3. Paid Social Ads

A great way to reach both existing and potential customers is through Paid Social Ads. It is also a great opportunity to seamlessly communicate the major parts of your brand’s value proposition. See the social ads below from Etkie, that communicate details of the brand’s ethos:

 

4. Email & SMS

Last but not least, email campaigns can be an effortless way to get your brand’s value props in front of your audience on a weekly basis. Placing simple, informative copy in each email is all it takes to give your customers a friendly reminder of why they should continue shopping with you! The same can be done via SMS.
